Our Vision

To be the focal point for Edo Arts, recognized by all stakeholders as being central to its preservation and propagation. Playing the leading role in advancing access to and participation in arts.

Goals

The Foundation aims to strengthen artists capacity, increase engagements in the arts, broaden the reach of the arts and build partnerships for investment in the arts; particularly for Edo State.

1. STRENGTHEN ARTISTS CAPACITY

Encourage excellence through skills improvement and knowledge sharing with artists to build communities and create income sources.

This becomes more imperative in the 21st century world of rapid changes, emerging opportunities and new ways of working brought about as a result of technological advancement.

2. INCREASE ENGAGEMENT IN THE ARTS

Support public participation in, and appreciation of the arts.

The societal benefits of arts and culture is greatest when people engage directly. Also, because of the inflow of millennials and generation Z in the arts space, there is need to find innovative ways to further deepen and develop relationships with audiences.

3. BROADEN REACH OF THE ARTS

Expand access to the arts by connecting artists, communities and resources.

By bringing the arts community together to share information and build relationships, the Foundation establishes itself as the main convener of arts activities. As a result, new forms of creative expression and methods of presentation emerge. Buttressing the fact that expanding access to and participation in the arts improves social cohesion, fosters community building and in turn improve economic activities.

4. BUILD PARTNERSHIP FOR INVESTMENTS IN THE ARTS

Develop innovative partnerships with private and public institutions that offer funding opportunities for art ideas, projects and initiatives.

Funding for the arts continues has remained a challenge. Maintaining a proactive approach to identify equitable funding opportunities by private, public or development organizations is crucial to arts sector development.

5. FACILITATE IDEAS AND GLOBAL SKILLS EXCHANGE IN THE ARTS

Create platforms that aggregate and encourage global mobility for arts practitioners.

Supporting cultural diversity and making Edo Global Arts Foundation the preferred ogranisation for the creation and presentation of the African arts to the world.
